On Valentine’s Day 2017, Donnini made its grand entrance into the entrepreneurial world. Picture it: a cosy 2-bedroom apartment with a stunning seafront view, nestled in the heart of Ayr, a picture perfect, coastal town boasting sandy beaches, rich history, and a list of local attractions. With his roots firmly planted in Ayrshire soil, our founder, Jake, couldn’t wait to roll out the welcome mat for guests eager to explore everything this charming town he called home, had to offer. From leisurely strolls to farmyard adventures, not forgetting Ayr Racecourse, and a hint of Robert Burns magic.
And so, ‘Donnini Apartments’ burst onto the scene, a slight name snafu initially – thanks to an address mix-up – but hey, it had a nice ring to it, so we rolled with the dice on that one. The feedback? Glowing! Guests couldn’t get enough of our little bit of paradise. That’s when the lightbulb moment struck – why stop at one when we could spread our unique brand of hospitality across Ayrshire and beyond?
Fast forward to 2024, what a journey it’s been! We’ve grown into a well-known, trusted, award winning, reputable brand with of over 50 apartments and houses. However, we didn’t stop there. We branched out and acquired our very own hotel – The Kylestrome! The latest on the list of successes for us. The Donnini family has grown too, now made up of over 20 wonderful individuals, each dedicated to one mission: to be the reigning champions of quality accommodation and make sure every single guest experiences more!
